Abstract
결 론
천식의 치료약제로서 포도당을 감미제로 첨가시킨 시럽형 항알레르기 약물을 6개월 이상
장기 복용중인 유치열기 아동 20명을 대상으로 하여 구강검사 및 설문조사를 시행한 바 다
음과 같은 결론을 얻었다
1. 시럽복용군의 치은지수 및 치태지수는 대조군에 비해 높았으나 통계학적으로 유의하지
않았다 (P>0.05).
2. 시럽의 복용기간이 길수록 치은지수와 치태지수가 높았으며 1군과 3군 사이에서 치태
지수의 유의한 차이를 나타냈다(P<0.05).

The teeth and gingivae of 20 children with asthma aged up to 6 years who had been
taking syrup medicines regularly for at least six months were compared with those of a
control group of 79 children of similar ages. Dental disease was assessed by measuring
dental plaque(plaque index) and gingivitis(gingival index). The results of this study
show that long-term administration of syrup medicine ketotifen sweetened with glucose
increase the plaque index and gingival index in children who had primary dentition. But
there was no significant difference between the two groups. By increasing the intake
duration of syrup, both indices were increased.
